Gantry machining center refers to the spindle axis and the workbench vertical setting of the machining center, drilling machine is mainly suitable for processing large parts.
First, gantry processing center classification:
There are fixed beam type (beam fixed, workbench rotation), moving beam type (beam moving up and down, workbench moving back and forth) moving column type (workbench fixed, gantry frame moving), crane type (workbench fixed, beam moving) also has the above composite form of many types of gantry machining center. The processing characteristics, capabilities, and processing uses of products are not exactly the same.
Second, the structural characteristics of gantry machining center:
Step 1: Work table
The table of gantry machining center is basically rectangular. The table, bed, column, beam and ram and other large castings are made of Meehanna cast iron, and the inner cavity of the castings is a honeycomb composite arrangement structure. The design is advanced, and the aging and secondary tempering treatment are used to eliminate the residual internal stress and make the material stable, ensuring the stability of the workpiece processing accuracy and the life of the drilling machine.
2. Gantry
The gantry consists of a beam and two columns. It is divided into three types: beam fixing, beam locking by positioning block and beam arbitrary lifting.
3. Ram
The ram can be divided into two types from the structure of open and closed. The ram of the open structure is clamped on the headstock by the press plate, and the cross-sectional area of the ram is large. The ram of the closed structure is clamped in the main shaft box, and the cross-sectional area of the ram is small.
4. Knife library
There are three basic types of tool library: turret type, disc type and chain type.
5. Attachment header library
The processing of large and complex parts usually requires many attachment heads. The attachment head is specially designed according to the processing requirements of the workpiece, which is generally divided into right-angle head, extended head, special Angle head and universal head.
Step 6: Precision
The accuracy of the drilling machine refers to the original accuracy of the machine under the condition of no external load. Accuracy is usually expressed by its opposite - the deviation between the ideal state (referred to as error), the smaller the error, the higher the accuracy.
